Today, I’m sharing one thing you can do that will guarantee that you will sell more homes this year: having more conversations. I tell my agents all the time that if they want to sell more houses, they need to talk with more people about real estate. 

One great way to do this is to contact people who own expired listings and for-sale-by-owner properties. Not all of them will lead to listings for you, but if you have more conversations, that will lead to more listings overall. 

Also, you can reach out to your sphere of influence. These are the people who already know, like, and trust you, so talk to them! Maybe they have a real estate need or know someone who does. You could call them, stop by their offices to see them, or even bring a gift. Stop by networking events to meet people, or you could even see them at a party or civic club. Whatever it is, be where the people are and have conversations with them about real estate.

This shouldn’t be too hard because real estate is a topic that most people like to talk about. When people find out you’re a Realtor, they’ll likely start to ask questions about real estate, which will help you get conversations started. 

Another great idea is to talk to people at open houses. People who come there are looking to buy and sometimes sell real estate, so they’ll be great people to start conversations with. Plus, with all of these ideas, even if someone isn’t ready to buy or sell real estate themselves, they might know someone who is.
